・ バルブが「開」であることを確認する：

・ 油面指示に異常がないか点検してください：
“Check the oil level indicator (for abnormality) と訳せますが、「油面が〜多い（少ない）」という文章が続きますので、カッコ内の語は不要です。
「油面指示が極端に多い（少ない）場合には、油面を調整してください」の「油面を調整してください」の訳には注意を要します。
これを直訳して、”Adjust the oil level” と訳す人を見かけますが、これでは読者（作業員）は「何をどうしたらよいのか」さっぱり分かりません。
もちろん、考えれば分かることですが、そもそも取扱説明書というものは、具体的に分かりやすく書かれていてはじめて「説明書」の名に値するものではないでしょうか。
オイルのレベルが高（低）過ぎるのであれば、オイルを抜く（補給する）のが、このようなときにとるべき調整方法だと思います。ここではそう解釈して訳してあります。
“If the oil level is too high (or low), reduce (or add) oil until the level is normal.”
